Author Robert Keebler’s firm is finalizing two software products for the AICPA: “Tax Rate Evaluator: A Graphical Calculator for Tax Planning After ATRA” (product #PTX1307M) was used to develop some of the exhibits in this column. This software is intended to help tax advisers see trends and opportunities without necessarily using a calculator. “Tax Planning Opportunities After ATRA: Tools, Tips, and Tactics” (product #PTX1306M) will include in-depth write-ups on the 25 tax planning strategies discussed in this column. These products will be available at the AICPA Store or by calling 888-777-7077.
Tax professionals should also consider attending the AICPA’s Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference in January, which has become known as the most technically advanced PFP conference in the country. The conference includes many sessions from Robert Keebler and others on planning after ATRA and much more in tax, estate, retirement, investments, and risk management for individuals, families, and closely held entities.
